Tate Britain will host 'Turner and Constable: Rivals and Originals' from 27 November 2025 to 12 April 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of both artists' births.
Tate and the National Portrait Gallery have completed the joint acquisition of a rare self-portrait by William Dobson, dating from 1635-1640. The work is currently on display at Tate Britain, where it has been reunited with Dobson’s 'Portrait of the Artist’s Wife' for the first time since 1948.
