LACMA to Open Peter Zumthor-Designed David Geffen Galleries on April 19, 2026
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) will open its new David Geffen Galleries to the public on April 19, 2026. Designed by architect Peter Zumthor, the 900-foot-long elevated structure will house the museum's permanent collection on a single level. The inaugural installation will feature works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Pedro Reyes, and Carmen Herrera.
