Louisiana Museum of Modern Art to Host First Major European Retrospective of Remedios Varo
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art will present the first major museum exhibition in Europe dedicated to Spanish-Mexican surrealist painter Remedios Varo. Organized in collaboration with Moderna Museet and curator Tere Arcq, the retrospective features approximately 60 paintings alongside drawings and archival notebooks. The exhibition includes loans from major institutions in Mexico and the United States, covering Varo's career from her early years in Paris to her most productive period in Mexico City during the 1950s.
