Musée du Louvre to Host Cypriot Antiquities Exhibition Marking 2026 EU Council Presidency
The Musée du Louvre will present 16 loaned artifacts from the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus in an exhibition running from February 11 to June 22, 2026. The display features Chalcolithic picrolite idols, Bronze Age copper ingots, and terracotta votive sculptures alongside the Louvre's permanent collection. Organized to coincide with the Cypriot presidency of the Council of the European Union, the exhibition includes a digital experience and a multimedia trail featuring Cypriot poetry and music.
