Artist Otobong Nkanga has been invited to participate in the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. The selection was made by curator Koyo Kouoh for the upcoming edition of the global exhibition. Nkanga’s multidisciplinary practice, which includes installation, textiles, and sculpture, focuses on ecological themes and the relationship between natural resources and human labor.
