Phillips, in association with Bacs & Russo, sold a Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 First Series in pink gold for HK$80.2 million ($10.2 million) during the Hong Kong Watch Auction: XVIII. The sale established a new world record for the reference and represents the highest price for any watch sold at auction globally in the spring 2024 season. The timepiece was previously part of the collection of retail magnate Enver Bakiu.
