Tate Acquires Works by Barbara Walker and Lubna Chowdhary via £150,000 Frieze Tate Fund
Tate has acquired new works by artists Barbara Walker and Lubna Chowdhary for its national collection using £150,000 in philanthropic support from the 2024 Frieze Tate Fund. Walker’s 'End of the Affair II' (2025) was purchased from Victoria Miro, while Chowdhary’s ceramic installation 'Assembly' (2025) was acquired from Jhaveri Contemporary. Additionally, Tate received a promised gift of a large-scale ink work on calico by Madge Gill from collector Lance Uggla, sourced from The Gallery of Everything at Frieze Masters.
