Tate Britain Announces Major 1990s Survey Curated by Edward Enninful for Autumn 2026
Tate Britain will stage the first major exhibition exploring the intersection of British art, photography, and fashion during the 1990s, opening October 8, 2026. Curated by Edward Enninful OBE, the survey will feature over 100 works by nearly 70 artists and designers, including Damien Hirst, Alexander McQueen, Tracey Emin, and Chris Ofili. The exhibition aims to re-evaluate the decade's cultural identity through themes of 'anti-fashion' grunge, YBA conceptualism, and the rise of club subcultures.
