Thaddaeus Ropac Announces Ilya and Emilia Kabakov Project 'Venetian Diary' for 2026 Venice Biennale
The participatory project 'Venetian Diary' by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov will be presented in Venice from May 9 to June 28, 2026, coinciding with the 61st Venice Biennale. Curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi and Giulia Abate, the exhibition will be staged at the 16th-century Palazzo Ca’ Tron and the Venetian Pavilion at the Giardini. The installation functions as a collective self-portrait of the city, utilizing stories and objects contributed by local residents.
