Artist Trevor Paglen has been awarded the 2026 LG Guggenheim Award in recognition of his research-based practice exploring surveillance, artificial intelligence, and data infrastructures. As part of the honor, Paglen will deliver a lecture-performance at the Guggenheim New York on May 18, 2026, coinciding with the release of his new book via Verso. The award jury, which included curators from the Mori Art Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, cited Paglen's commitment to rendering invisible technological systems visible to the public.
