The M+ museum will present Wael Shawky’s video work, 'I Am Hymns of the New Temples', from May 30 to October 25, 2026. The 2023 film explores humanity’s origins and national narratives through performances staged within the ruins of Pompeii. The exhibition examines the intersection of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman cultures through the lens of storytelling and myth-making. This presentation follows the work's original commission by the Pompeii Archaeological Park.
