Louisiana Museum of Modern Art to Present First Major Scandinavian Exhibition of Remedios Varo
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art will host the first major exhibition in Scandinavia dedicated to the Spanish-Mexican surrealist painter Remedios Varo. Organized in collaboration with Moderna Museet and art historian Tere Arcq, the exhibition features approximately 60 paintings alongside drawings and documentary material. The survey includes iconic works on loan from Mexican and U.S. institutions, as well as private collections, covering her career from her early years in Europe to her most productive period in Mexico during the 1950s.
