Louvre to Host Cypriot Antiquities Exhibition in Partnership with Cyprus Ministry of Culture
The Musée du Louvre will present 16 loaned artifacts from the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus from February 11 to June 22, 2026. The exhibition, organized for the Cypriot presidency of the Council of the European Union, features picrolite idols, copper ingots, and terracotta sculptures from the Chalcolithic period through the Bronze Age. Curated by Hélène Le Meaux, George Papasavvas, and Artemis Georgiou, the display integrates the loans with the Louvre’s permanent collection and digital installations.
