SFMOMA to Present Graciela Iturbide Retrospective Featuring Over 150 Photographs
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will host a major retrospective of Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide from July 11 through November 29, 2026. Organized by Fundación Mapfre in collaboration with SFMOMA, the exhibition 'Between Two Worlds' features more than 150 black-and-white photographs spanning five decades of the artist's career. The survey includes early street photography, studies of Indigenous communities in Oaxaca and the Sonoran Desert, and a 2008 series documenting Frida Kahlo’s private bathroom.
