Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) announced a survey exhibition of Los Angeles-based artist Cauleen Smith titled 'Afflict the Comfortable, Comfort the Afflicted,' opening November 20, 2025. Curated by Thato Mogotsi, the exhibition marks Smith’s first major presentation on the African continent and features films, drawings, and textile installations spanning her decades-long career. The show will remain on view in Cape Town through October 4, 2026, with support from the Mellon Foundation and the Terra Foundation for American Art.
